MLM(Multi Level Marketing/ Direct Marketing) Business Scam Alert!

If someone reaches you in the name of “Business“, Stay Alert!!
Ask them few questions like
1) What is the name & nature of the business?
2) Who is the Head/Boss, What are the policies of the company?
If they don’t disclose, don’t go ahead. This is a trap
                                                              

“Who can target me?”

You would be targeted from your very own friend circle/relatives. Because they have already fallen in the mud trap. Now they need someone else to revive them.

“How would this happen?”

I have been approached by 3 of my friends in 2 years. They always follow a pattern.

• You may suddenly come across your friend posing with a Tesla Car, or showing off a costly gadget. Otherwise, “LONG TIME NO SEE” friend will check up on you.
• His social media posts will be flooded with motivational quotes and entrepreneur hashtags.
• You reach out to him out of curiosity and he says he’s into something incredible called “BUSINESS“
• He would get back to you saying there’s a business expansion and they’re looking for “like-minded people”
• He sets up an appointment with a person called, let’s say “MASTER” at a big hotel/CCD to create a vibe.
• MASTER would behave like a celebrity. He would never share the company and the product names. But he would assure you that you can make upto 5 crores in 5 years. Such a potential it has!
• They would ask for initial investment of 3 lakh rupees towards business registration/business startup price or whatever they call it. If you’re unable to arrange fund, they would arrange for personal loan with the help of their agents.
• To know further, they would ask you to attend a meeting with another person, let’s call him “GRANDMASTER”
• GRANDMASTER speaks to you only after making the payment. If you are a potential scapegoat but if you are oscillating, then you will be forced to attend a FAKE success-story sharing program organised by some other scapegoats.
• After making the payment, they may give you heart attack, volcanic eruptions and all that. Business name is Qnet, team name and franchise name differs usually. The products they market in direct selling would be useless. Example- Very costly Swiss watches, Travel packages with price tag that only Ambani can afford, and a fake health care product called Biodisc that can even cure cancer, they say.
• As you have paid 3 lakhs, you will get some of those useless products. You cannot sell it anywhere. So the only option you got would be referring your friends and indirectly make him purchase 3 lakhs worth of useless products.
• You must refer atleast 2 scapegoats for receiving your commission. Even if you refer 10 people, you must periodically refer people to keep the account active otherwise you will not receive your commission. These are the policies which they will share only after you make the payment.

What the heck is this?
This is a Pyramid Scheme and it basically works with referring people. Those who are in top 5 rows will earn a lot and those in the last rows would face heavy loss. This business will work for the one’s at top of the pyramid, and will never work for the rest. Many of my friends are in huge debts due to this. So please save your hard earned money.

For those who say Qnet/MLM companies are legal:
If a business can’t disclose the company name and its policies in the beginning of proposal, they are 100% fraud. The policies should be transparent.

Those who are in it already, try to apply for refund within 30 days in the official website of Qnet.
